We watch your site so you don't have to.

PingPane is uptime monitoring with a public status page. Three monitors free forever; twenty for $7 a month. No sales call, no credit card, no pitch deck.

Why we built it

The first time we paid for an uptime tool we counted the minutes between the failure and the page on the wall — the gap was twelve. It turned out the tool was checking from one region we didn't care about, the alert was going to a shared inbox no one watched, and the public status page cost an extra $90 a month on top.

PingPane is what we wanted instead. One product, one price, the status page bundled, the alerts going where you actually read them. It looks like the dashboard a sysadmin would build at 2am because that's when the work happens.

What we believe

Density beats whitespace. If you came here at 3am because something is broken, we owe you information per pixel, not negative space.

Colour is signal, not decoration. The UI is monochrome until something happens. Green pulses when things are alive. Red bleeds in when they're not.

The free tier should be useful.Three monitors is enough to cover your marketing site, your app, and your API. We're not trying to trap you — we're trying to give you a reason to stay.

Honest pricing. The price on the homepage is the price you pay. We don't have a sales team because we don't need one. If you want a quote with a custom contract, we'll write one, but the number won't come down on a phone call.

Who's behind it

PingPane is built and operated by Pettabyte Group, a small independent software studio. We don't have outside investors. We're funded by paying customers. That's the whole org chart.

We're reachable at hi@pingpane.com — a real inbox a human reads. You can also find us on X and GitHub.

What's next

The roadmap lives in public. We post about what we're shipping on the Transmissions blog and we dogfood the product on our own public status page at /s/pingpane. If you have a feature request, the fastest path is email; the second fastest is opening an issue on GitHub.
